28 August 2020 - RISE Corporate Innovation Powerhouse based out of Southeast Asia, has once again succeeded in organising Corporate Innovation Summit 2020 LIVE, a hybrid experiential conference that aimed to build and drive innovation through real-world actions and experiences to push forward innovations as new opportunities for corporations in this critical era held during 15-17 September 2020. The event was joined by over 4,000 top executives and innovators from 45 countries in 68 industries.


Corporate Innovation Summit 2020 LIVE was held with the theme of ‘The Celebration of Resilience’ under the concept ‘innovation is the symbol of human perseverance that never gives up in the face of any tough times to present a content that emphasised on developing the potential of corporates’ personnel in the field of innovation to be able to build and develop an innovation that change critical situation into an opportunity for the corporation specially in the post-Covid-19 era. This was done through Hybrid Experience that involved an online platform for executives and interested guests from around the world who were able to learn new skills through more than 100 hands-on workshops, talks and discussions from the global innovators, and virtually met 150 global tech startups. Also included was an offline platform for Thai executives to get to know and build new collaboration to stimulate Thai Economy, right in the centre of Bangkok.


Dr. Supachai Parchariyanon, or Dr. Kid, CEO & Co-Founder of RISE, said, “For CIS to meet the needs of corporations in this New Normal era in which transforming ‘personnel’ is the key to success, the main mission for this year’s CIS is to help and support both Governmental and Private Institutions and SMEs to not only survive, but to be able to find out new solutions to turn critical situations into new opportunities in this New Normal era with the concept of Rethink to meet the new-world needs, Reskill to be readied to deal with New Normal institutions, and Rebuild to build anew institutions for the country and the world.”


The Corporate Innovation Summit was organised to drive the change in Thailand and South East Asia, starting with the augmentation of potentials of corporate leaders to be readied to proceed with innovations that lead to true and lasting change. This year, there were over 4,000 executives and innovators from 45 countries in 68 industries over the course of 3 days, which is equivalent to 3,266,424 minutes of combined learning time of all the participants.


For the Corporate Innovation Summit 2020 LIVE, RISE received the cooperation from both Governmental and Private Corporations, with Invest Hong Kong (Invest HK) an investment support institution for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the main supporter in conjunction with AWS, BOSCH, DEPA, Food Innopolis, Microsoft, Sea Group, TCEB, Tencent, Krungsri Finnovate, BOI Thailand, Singha Ventures, Smirnoff, and JOOX, who all foresaw the importance of innovations in driving institutions in this new era.

Mr. Chatchai Khunpitiluksana, vice-president of DEPA, opined that RISE’s activities have been very instrumental in bringing about the strengthening of Digital Startup Ecosystem, as well as providing a platform, through the Networking with Investors and Startup Community, which has allowed for the discussion and exchanging experiences running businesses during this COVID-19 pandemic era to increase the commercial and investment potential to break through the economic crisis and the ongoing effects of the pandemic as well.
